We're thrilled to have won the EDI category at the #CharityTimesAwards for our racial equity and DDPO funding programmes. We're very thankful to the charities and CICs and equity organisations that helped us develop and deliver these programmes

Our care needs are growing and changing, and unpaid care is an overlooked but crucial part.
Within the next 10 years, we predict that population growth means almost 1m more people will have caring responsibilities.
That’s equivalent to 2x the population of Liverpool 🧵 (1/4)

We exist to tackle injustice, that’s why 1/3 of the #SmallButVital charities we partner with are led by&for or support racialised & migrant communities. We're making an additional unrestricted payment of £2,500 to support them with unforeseen costs due to the riots.

Across politics and the media, it's time for a complete shift away from the rhetoric that empowers the far right.
It's time our leaders recognise how divisive language and racist policies result in this violence. We're quoted in this piece.👇

This is what communities are about. Welcoming of all people, powerful, and ready to stand up against racism, Islamophobia, xenophobia, hate.
Liverpool, Walthamstow, Oxford, Bristol - beautiful scenes from up and down the country of communities coming together in the face of hatred this evening.
THIS is who we are, THIS is what we should be striving for.

This is what small community-led charities do, they show up for people and it's beyond horrific what they're going through to keep staff, volunteers and service users safe
We’ve been speaking to charities we partner with about the impact the far-right riots have had on them, their staff and their communities. Here is what we’ve been hearing, a 🧵:

The violent riots that we have seen unfold across the country over the weekend are deplorable. We stand in solidarity with the people, communities and charities impacted by these violent acts. lloydsbankfoundation.org.uk/…
ALT The violent riots that we have seen unfold across the country over the weekend are deplorable. We stand in solidarity with the people, communities and charities impacted by these violent acts. No one should be made afraid to leave their home, walk in their neighborhood or practice their religion. That these rioters are targeting mosques, hotels housing asylum seekers, and racially minoritized communities, inciting terror in communities is unacceptable. Their actions do not speak for the communities that we know. We will continue to partner with organisations supporting people experiencing inequity because their race or ethnicity and those supporting refugees and asylum seekers. And we will continue to push for the change we need locally, regionally and nationally to influence policy and practice and address the root causes of this inequity. And to any of our partners who are impacted by these riots, we stand with you.

This is unacceptable & deeply uncomfortable viewing. An entire white panel questioning a brown woman like a suspect. Ed Balls and Kate have left their homes this morning with no fear. Zarah and every other brown/black person left knowing they are a target

The racist, hate filled, violent riots we've been seeing haven't happened in a vacuum. It's years in the making by politicians & those with power & influence spreading hate, making it acceptable for others to do so & creating culture wars & division
