Today, Ripple President
@MonicaLongSF opined most global value transfers will likely occur across public blockchain rails. Respected
@XRPL Community Relations professional
@Vet_X0 shared Monica’s video clip & HIGHLY respected
@X researcher Future XRP (
@the5blairs) opined further (see his detailed, well reasoned opinion below - and give him a follow!), offering several XRP value models, with a 70% global market share estimate used for his public blockchain adoption models.
I’ve taken the liberty to combine the highly respected opinions from these digital infrastructure leaders, and added a bit of KUWL discernment for clarity and emphasis.
“The monetary identity asks whether the float can physically support the volume. With a circulating float of 25 billion XRP and velocity between 20× and 50× a year, the implied price ranges from about $36 at the low end, to $133 at the midpoint, to $360 at the high end.
That is the capacity gate, and it clears easily. It is not the binding constraint.”
🔥 “Gate two: Square-root Market Impact
The binding constraint is execution. Institutional settlement tickets are large, and a bridge asset that moves against itself mid-trade is more expensive than the rail it replaces.
👉🏼 The Almgren-Chriss square-root law gives the depth requirement directly: ΔP/P = σ√(Q/V).
With our established parameters (0.5% daily volatility, 5 basis points of slippage tolerance, 1.36% daily turnover, 25 billion float), a $2 billion ticket requires $200 billion a day in depth. That translates to a $14.7 trillion market cap, or $589 per XRP. That's the floor for a single institutional ticket.
What's new is that at public-wins scale, the flow itself supplies the depth. Settled across a 365-day ledger:
• Low case: about $123 billion a day. The $2 billion ticket requirement still binds, so the floor holds at $589.
• Midpoint: about $274 billion a day, a roughly $20 trillion market cap, about $806.
• High case: about $493 billion a day, a roughly $36 trillion market cap, about $1,450.”
Happy Sept. 30, end of CY Q3, end of FY 2026,
@evernorthxrp SPAC Vote Day, and Iraq’s New Sovereignty Day.
Our future is bright, XRP Family!

🇰🇷 Will the majority of tokenized volume be on Private or Public blockchains?
Monica Long - "Public"
She also mentions that the benefits of private blockchains are coming to the XRP Ledger with confidential transfer (XLS-96) and permission delegation (XLS-75).
