Yes those are current industry rates in this economy. They used to be higher for senior and above but this is what the general AI landscape and economics has brought us to. It does no one any good to undersell oneself because inexperience and opportunism is wielded like a weapon.
she said she takes about 80hrs for 1 of these. do the math:
$4500 ÷ 80hrs = $56.25/hr
$800 ÷ $56.25 = 14.2hrs.
she chose $56.25/hr as her rate.
US rate, that is average for a Junior to Senior Concept Artist.

I've just watched a streamer and his chat discuss Quake movement and the conclusion was that it's gimmicky, not skill-expressive and not very competitive.
I'm in awe. Tomorrow I'll probably see someone talking how Brood War is a slow, gimmicky, p2w game or something.
