Do you seriously think a brand new NFT project is worth more than one that’s spent four or five years building a real moat? The market might price it that way for a few days or weeks, but that doesn’t make it true We see the same cycle constantly Mass hype, endless shilling, a scramble to mint, the reveal, then a couple of weeks later everyone has moved on to the next new thing It’s been happening for years Most new projects eventually join the tens of thousands that are forgotten and trend towards zero Sometimes the founders are scammers who understand the cycle and use it to extract as much money as possible Often they start with genuine intentions but get rugged by the process I don’t think this will ever change Excitement, speculation and gambling are part of what makes NFTs what they are The mistake is confusing short term attention with real value When you’ve been part of an OG project and lived through multiple cycles and metas, you understand the game and become fairly immune to it all No individual project can fix the wider market All you can do is turn up every day, stay relevant, create good work, build your own identity and make what you’re building more valuable over time Time is the greatest filter in NFTs Anyway, what are we minting today? 🙉

To everyone, thanks for the amazing years. It seems that the fxhash platform has come to a close. The artwork, however, lives on. The lack of communication around the wind-down is regrettable. To clarify and provide some closure: The entire fxhash team was let go in February, except for the founder. Currently, there appears to be no attempt being made to close on the loan offered to the company (the loan was previously mentioned in a post by ciphrd). Therefore, no current or future development is being planned. The website is now offline, and it is unclear whether it will come back. To all the people who made fxhash possible: artists, collectors, team members, enthusiasts, supporters, partners...in short, EVERYONE who took part in the special happening that was fxhash...THANK YOU! We shared so much together and had a truly wild code-based ride. Thankfully, @verse_works @lerandomart @objktcom are supporting the viewing & exchange of artworks published on fxhash. Mega props to them for staying true to the mission through difficult times. And former fxhash front-end developer @maerzhase3000 has developed a framework for keeping fxhash artwork available without relying on fxhash infrastructure: whitehash.m3000.io It's too bad things ended like this. But between the monumental trove of artwork that formed a unique creative movement and the friends we made along the way, some might say we lived it to the fullest. The discord community is indeed still online and active if you're looking for a place to hang and talk about the good ol' days.
