“Handen af van het ICC en alle andere instituties die de internationale rechtsorde beschermen.”
In mijn toespraak in de Algemene Vergadering van de Verenigde Naties benadrukte ik het belang van de internationale rechtsorde, in een tijd van grove schendingen van het internationaal recht.
Het is aan de middenmachten om het voortouw te nemen voor meer internationale samenwerking. Met als uitgangspunt dat het internationaal recht werkt voor iedereen, of voor niemand.
Ook sprak ik over de noodzaak van ambitieuze klimaatmaatregelen. De tijd van wegkijken is echt voorbij.
