Open-source IP-KVM on an ESP32-P4. Remote desktop from the BIOS up: screen, keyboard, mouse and virtual media in a browser tab. No cloud, no subscription.
ESP-KVM 0.67.0: the console plays the target's sound. Three wires and a ground from the C790's I2S connector to the ESP32-P4. Live in the browser, AAC in recordings and dashcam clips.

New, experimental: ESP-KVM terminal turns an @M5Stack Tab5 into a screen for an ESP-KVM - touch, keyboard, power buttons, Tailscale, no browser. Same ESP32-P4 as the KVM, MJPEG decoded in hardware. Would you use one? espkvm.io/terminal/#espkvm#ipkvm
ESP-KVM 0.63.0: a Let's Encrypt certificate for the device's Tailscale name, got and renewed on the ESP32-P4 itself. Tailscale publishes the DNS record, so no domain, token or open port - and no certificate warning. espkvm.io/blog/0-63-0-lets-e…
ESP-KVM 0.62.0: mouse moved to picture shown, 155 ms at 1080p H.264 - it was 250-370. The stream never said it had no B-frames, so the browser held four back. Plus a button that measures this, twice the free RAM, and video that adapts to slow WiFi espkvm.io/blog/0-62-0-faster…
ESP-KVM 0.61.0: a button on the box (short press and hold, any action), the M5Stack Unit OLED, Relay and Glass2, a Unit RTC found by itself, full screen with no bars, and a tick under the finger on a phone. espkvm.io/blog/0-61-0-a-butt…
Most ESP-KVM builds start on a @waveshare00 ESP32-P4 board. They are all on one page now: eight boards and the HDMI-to-CSI adapter. You can try ESP-KVM on any of them. espkvm.io/boards/family/wave…
ESP-KVM 0.60.0: a serial console in the browser, for boxes with no screen. Plus the target's kernel log over the network with panic alerts, the device's own log live, and netboot downloaded by the device in one click. espkvm.io/blog/0-60-0-a-seri…
ESP-KVM 0.59.0: the KVM can be a game controller 😄 now. A Switch sees a wired HORI pad; you press the buttons in the browser, in a window or over the picture, or use your own controller. Plus Ethernet with Wi-Fi as the backup.

ESP-KVM 0.58.0: the KVM now speaks HDMI-CEC. It shows what is on the cable and gives you a TV remote for it - here a Steam Deck: menus, volume, sleep. Plus pointer lock for relative mouse.

ESP-KVM 0.57.0: an optional real time clock module keeps the time across a power cut, sign-in can ask for a code from an authenticator app (2fa), and alerts wait for the network instead of being lost. espkvm.io/blog/0-57-0-a-cloc…
ESP-KVM is on Product Hunt today: an open-source IP-KVM on the @EspressifSystem ESP32-P4, with no Linux inside. I'm answering questions there all day. producthunt.com/products/esp…
Running ESP-KVM? There's no telemetry in the firmware, so I have no idea how many are out there. Quick poll on GitHub - one click, no names shown. And tell me what's missing in the comments. github.com/orgs/espkvm/discu…
Hey @M5Stack! Got my Unit PoE-P4 and got super excited seeing 400MHz on the packaging (thought it was a new silicon rev!), but the website lists 360MHz.
Turned out it's silicon v1.3 running at 360MHz. 😢 Might want to fix the label to avoid confusion!
