Glad to have joined this key discussion at the 15th UN Crime Congress.
Illicit firearms are a shared challenge that requires stronger cooperation, information-sharing & tracing across borders. 🇪🇺 The EU is committed to working with partners to strengthen our collective response.
Earlier this week at the 15th UN #CrimeCongress, we organised a side event with the support of @INTERPOL_HQ, @WCO_OMD, @arableague_gs and @EUintheUAE that brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss the increasing challenges posed by privately made firearms.

Today, EU Ambassador @BergerLucie addressed the #QuantumInnovationSummit in Dubai: Europe brings world-class science, a growing base of quantum companies & the infrastructure to test & scale.
Join the 🇪🇺 session tomorrow: "EU Quantum Context: Smart Policies – Thriving Businesses"

This week at #UNGA, representatives from 193 countries called for joint action on the most pressing topics:
🔹 rapid and unhindered humanitarian assistance to Gaza
🔹 food supply protection by bringing together the Rome Coalition and existing EU partnerships
🔹 the need for global AI standards
🔹 greater attention to threats posed by sea-level rise
Europe will always choose outreach and cooperation.
