I keep hearing people say “the state” should give more money to schools. 🙄
State education funding comes from your property taxes. It’s right there on the tax bill.
Moving the funding from the local column to the state column changes nothing. You’re still the source.

Inspired by Frédéric Bastiat’s classic essay The Law, Connor Boyack teamed up with illustrator Elijah Stanfield to create @tuttletwins very first book, aptly titled The Law. It introduced kids to big ideas about rights and government through a story they could actually follow and enjoy. The response floored him. Parents and kids alike were hungry for more.

Manchester parents: you have so many education options! Or mission is to connect families with educators who will work hard for your child.
It is bad enough that you in NH may lose your home to property taxes, but to see that it was to support Public Schools that DO NOT perform is the painful part. Your kids are being screwed as well as you are.

The decline looks like it started in 2013. What happened then, what changed in schools or otherwise that would affect academic performance so drastically?
This is a global crisis. Blame the Teachers Unions, or the Department of Education, or the One Ring that rules them all, it doesn't matter.
Parents need to step up now.

My youngest daughter had her 1st day of public high school yesterday.
She said one of her teachers proudly stated "my daughter is trans and I am an LGBTQ ally, if your home is not a safe space and you want to talk to me about your situation, I am here for you".
Look, I really don't care who grown adults want to sleep with. Whatever. Gay, straight, trans, knock yourself out. But this crap has NO place in schools.
How insane is it that a school has become a place where we should all discuss our sexuality, who we are attracted to, and what kind of sex we want to have?
And why are we supposed to think it's fine and dandy if we talk to a random teacher about all of this deeply personal information instead of our immediate family/parents?
When did schools become places where we openly discuss sexual preference? Why is this even a thing? It should be grounds for immediate termination for all teachers.
I'm glad my daughter isn't confused. She immediately thought this was insane and came home and told me how crazy it was. Lots of other kids don't have that luxury.
This is what dropping your kids off at school is like in 2026.
This is what boomers will never understand. The world they grew up in and raised children in has been destroyed and gone. Institutional trust is now 0.
This is why homeschooling is exploding.

For fourteen years, I worked in charter, private, and public schools. Over time, I noticed a disheartening pattern: traditional classrooms were failing the very kids they were meant to support.
I saw smart children put their heads down on cold desks and refuse to engage and others overwhelmed, stressed, and completely unmotivated. While there were wonderful teachers in every building, the traditional system still turned learning into a set of mechanical tasks. Children were losing their spark and simply didn’t enjoy school anymore.
I knew there had to be a better way to support a child’s entire growth.
