King Hezekiah became seriously ill, and the prophet Isaiah told him to prepare for the end of his life. Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and prayed, asking God to remember his faithfulness. Before Isaiah had even left the palace, God answered his prayer and promised to heal him. Hezekiah then asked for a sign that God would fulfill His promise. “The shadow on the stairway has gone back ten steps.” 2 Kings 20:10 God caused the shadow to move backward as a miraculous sign to Hezekiah. What seemed impossible became a visible reminder that God had heard his prayer. When you bring your situation honestly before God, remember that nothing is too difficult for Him. The God who can turn back the shadow can change what seems impossible in your life.
