Please join me in congratulating Dr. @JiaxuWu6 on successfully defending his PhD! 🎓👏 Jiaxu joined the lab in the summer of 2022. After some early struggles to find the right direction for his project, we found a fantastic partner in @NutrienAgRetail, along with incredible support from @SaskOilseeds and the Western Grains Research Foundation (@westerngrains). Since then, Jiaxu has become one of the most prolific members of our lab, with four first-author publications, three additional co-authored papers, and one major story coming later this fall! He has also received several awards and scholarships this year, including a highly competitive doctoral scholarship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec. It was not an easy journey. There was stress, uncertainty, and more than one moment when we did not know whether the PhD would come together as we had hoped. But we made it! 💪🌿 Jiaxu will stay with us a little longer, but I am not worried about his next step, any lab would be fortunate to have him! 🙏 A very proud PI moment 💚 #ProudPI
