This decision just gets worse and worse.
The WNBA decision to move game 6 of the finals to 12:30 PM Thursday will have an impact on its media coverage. USA Sports says that the game will not simulcast on CNBC, as its other games are (it will be during market hours). Instead it will simulcast on E! and Syfy.

This is beyond shameful! They would never do this to the MNBA.

Hey @NYCMayor, can you spot me $1M to finalize a 100% affordable housing project with @AAFE1974? It would yield ~100 units for families earning up to 80% AMI, including a 15% set aside for formerly homeless families. What do you think?

DoorDash has ripped off more than 260,000 NYC delivery workers. We’re making them pay $131.5 million — the largest worker settlement in City history. This is New York, where hard work pays and greed will cost you.

the concept of criminally underpaying 200,000 people “unintentionally”
Since 2023, more than 200,000 Dashers in New York City were underpaid or paid late under the City’s delivery worker pay rules. These errors were unintentional, but that doesn’t make them acceptable. Dashers should be paid in full, on time, every time. We take full responsibility, and we’re deeply sorry. We’ve reached a $131.5 million settlement with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Every impacted Dasher will receive the amount they are owed, and they’ll be contacted directly with payment details. We understand the impact of even one missed or late payment. We’ve addressed the issues that caused these errors and made changes to prevent them from happening again. Read more here: about.doordash.com/en-us/new….
Community note
theguardian.com/us-news/2026/s… The City of New York asserts this was not a mistake. “For years, DoorDash failed to count every hour worked by delivery workers,” Mayor Mamdani said. “This was not a rounding error or an accidental mistake.

Could new bus shelter roofs help New Yorkers stay cool in extreme heat? We're testing a few in Brownsville to find out: a green roof covered with native plants, and reflective roofs covered with low-cost, heat-resilient film. When it comes to climate change, we're using every tool at our disposal — including everyday infrastructure — to keep New Yorkers safe.

The bus shelter at Pitkin Ave. and Saratoga Ave. just got a bit cooler. This shelter is the home of the city’s first ever heat resilient green roof — adorned with native plants to keep it cool during extreme heat. New Yorkers who rely on the bus deserve comfortable shelters.

Truly touching video honoring @nyctaxi workers who showed up for their fellow New Yorkers providing free transportation after 9/11. New Yorkers help each other out. “They need me, I’m there.” ❤️
Today, we honor the TLC drivers and staff who took part in Operation Free Transportation–a program connecting over 1,000 taxi drivers with families and emergency workers to give thousands of free rides in the weeks after 9/11. youtu.be/7Umr23fff7Q?si=i275…

"My father Michael Massaroli...you do my dad's legacy and the legacy of all these victims no honor by using this tragedy to spread hate. We have seen a medley of people come up today, of all races, all religions, all creeds and this tragedy is just that, it's a tragedy. I've had to grow up and spend the past 25 years seeing people use it to hate on our Muslim brothers and sisters, to hate on people who don't look like them. That's wrong. That does no honor to the victims here...please stop." Full video here: youtube.com/live/Wkl0vAMmU0I…

We're overhauling 116th Street to make your bus faster: 2.5 miles of new bus lanes. Queue jumps that give buses a green light before other vehicles at intersections. Protected bike lanes. 35,000 square feet of new pedestrian space. This redesign will speed up commutes for more than 65,000 daily bus riders across 10 routes and improve safety for everyone on 116th Street. Because you should be spending less time in traffic and more time enjoying the greatest city in the world.
