And then she looks into the camera and asks what it means to “finish the job in Gaza.”
Finish what job, Annie?
The war against Hamas. The terrorist organization that invaded Israel on October 7, massacred civilians, took hostages into Gaza and started this war.
Yet scroll through her feed and Hamas almost disappears. October 7 disappears. The hostages disappear.
In their place: increasingly extreme accusations presented to millions of people as unquestionable truth.
This has gone far beyond an artist expressing concern about Gaza.
Annie Lennox has turned her platform into a relentless anti-Israel propaganda feed and some of what she is now saying is simply staggering.

I think Holocaust distortion is very serious actually, so no I won’t ‘calm down’. Francesca is falsely claiming that starved Jews lying on the ground were nicknamed Muselmann because the Nazis persecuted ‘Semitic people’ broadly not just Jews. There is no such thing as Semitic race of people, rather there is a group of Semitic languages (including Arabic, Hebrew, Amharic, and Aramaic).
Etymologically, the term antisemitism denotes hatred of Jews alone and antisemitic Nazi laws targeted Jews alone. This is something the Nazis themselves confirmed (see screenshot below). They were, quote, ‘at great pains to assure Arabs that the antisemitic policies of the Nazis was directed solely against the Jews and not against them’.
What Francesca has said in this regard is unequivocally false, she is brazenly lying. Would you care to address any of these points? Will you criticise Francesca for lying about the etymology of antisemitism and distorting the facts of the Holocaust? Or will you insist on continuing to play smoke and mirrors?
