I just, I don't know, if I celebrated the deaths or even the hardships of everyone I know who have really terrible views & opinions-- then I'd basically have to be a complete misanthrope & become worse than them in my misanthropy. I tend to view most people, even adults, as just naive children who don't know what they're doing, have been mislead, or traumatized in some manner, manipulated, just not really aware enough to know what they're saying. I just don't really hate people, it's more like a transcendental sense of pity & disgust for the pitiable condition of it all. The word that comes to mind is "Pathetic"-- I find it all very pathetic. At the end of the day, Charlie Kirk is my same age & a father of young kids. He could have called for my own death, personally, & I'd still feel terrible for his death, simply because I know what the effect of that will be on those kids. This feeling has become more profound in me since having kids. I try to think of the good that exists in everyone, even if this is just for my own sake, my own sanity, I cannot imagine it being fulfilling to do otherwise.
I thought he was a hack and an Israel shill but I see no reason to celebrate random violence, especially one as swift and gruesome as this.
