True, solar energy over time will round up to 100% of energy harnessed (obviously)
On Labor Day, the charging peak load was 116 cars plugged in at once, at 11.4 MW. All electrical loads will eventually transition to solar + storage. The giant fusion reactor in the sky is free.

Day 209 orbit 3239 — Welcome to the International Space Station pantry! Nutrition is the science that keeps astronauts healthy, strong, and mission-ready through carefully balanced diets. It plays a key role in supporting our bodies in space while preserving the simple pleasure of a meal, whether enjoyed alone during a busy day or shared with the entire crew. 🎥 @esa / @NASA #εpsilon • @esaspaceflight • @Space_Station • @NASAJohnson • @CNES

After 48 years of journeying through space, NASA’s Voyager 1 is approaching the remarkable milestone of being one light-day from Earth—nearly 16 billion miles away. 🚀 A proud achievement for humanity, and a humbling reminder of just how small we are in the vastness of the universe. 🌌

Starbase Louisiana will ultimately have over a dozen launch towers, enabling more than 30 Starship flights per day and making it the biggest launch site on Earth! SpaceX makes sci-fi real.
Introducing Starbase, Louisiana – a high-cadence launch site that will enable Starship to open a pathway to the stars for humanity. Thank you to @LAGovJeffLandry and the great people of Louisiana for all of their support as we work together on this audacious project → spacex.com/sites/starbase-la

Perspective is everything. 🌍 Gazing down at Earth from above offers an incredibly profound one, as does looking back at the @Space_Station from a window in the Russian segment. Our crewmate Anna Kikina captured this incredible footage during @astro_anil and my spacewalk on Aug. 6. Even suited up in our bulky spacesuits, we look like tiny little worker bees at the hive given the massive scale of the station.

[🇫🇷 version FR 👇] Day 182, orbit 2822 — Living and working in 3 dimensions is amazing… Your brain adapts surprisingly quickly, and before long, it feels perfectly normal to see people floating in from every direction, in any orientation! In this video, we were each in our crew quarters, on four different walls! @Astro_ChrisW is now back on Earth, with his feet firmly planted on the ground, and probably missing microgravity 😊 🎥 @esa / @NASA Jour 182, orbite 2822 – Quelle expérience incroyable que de vivre et travailler en trois dimensions !

Moonbase Alpha will be so cool. And we want to make it so that anyone can go to the Moon if they want.
SpaceX is getting very close to building the first serious base on the Moon Starship changes the entire equation It is designed to deliver up to 100 tonnes directly to the lunar surface - enough to transport habitats, rovers, power systems, construction equipment and everything needed to begin building a permanent outpost Then the other pieces come together Tesla Optimus robots could eventually unload cargo, assemble structures, move equipment and perform dangerous construction work before large human crews arrive Building a base mostly with humans is a serious limitation Humans need life support, pressurized habitats, spacesuits, oxygen, food and protection just to survive and work on the lunar surface But with Tesla Optimus, that equation changes entirely Tesla’s experience with solar energy, batteries, autonomous vehicles and large-scale manufacturing can support the power and transportation systems required on the Moon SpaceX provides transportation Tesla provides energy, autonomy and robotics Starship provides the scale Suddenly building a serious base on the Moon becomes dramatically easier And once that infrastructure is ready, humans can stay for much longer periods and eventually even routine private lunar missions and tourism become possible Once the first permanent lunar outpost is established, its usefulness will compound rapidly.....supporting science, resource development, communications and deeper missions into space The Moon could become humanity’s first true outpost beyond Earth

[🇫🇷 version FR 👇] Day 179 orbit 2774 — Yoohoo! EVA-96 was completed successfully by @Astro_Jessica and @astro_anil! These photos pretty much capture how happy I was to see them back... although you can also spot a few signs of fatigue, because it had been a veeeery long day. Thanks Anna for the photos! Jack and I were tasked to help for the preparation: making sure intravehicular operations ran smoothly and safely. While the spacewalkers are the ones out in the spotlight, EVAs are very much a team effort, and it's always a privilege to support the crew from within. That being said, I’ve got exciting news to share: this August 18, it will be my turn to head outside the Station, alongside Anil, in order to replace a Space-to-Ground Antenna, or SGANT. This piece of equipment is crucial for transmitting data and high‑speed communication between Mission Control Center in Houston and the Station. So, one EVA complete for August, two more to prepare! 📸 @esa / @NASA Jour 179, orbite 2774 – Youhou ! #εpsilon • @esaspaceflight • @Space_Station • @NASAJohnson • @CNES • @ESA_fr
