Other story is the potential for a big early season mountain snow Tue-Wed. While mainly for higher elevations (10-11k+), models in good agreement (below). Exact temps will be key. I'm still a big skeptical of I-70 totals, but San Juans appear in line for a big early snow.

🗺️ West Coast Plenty of golden aspen to be found around Mammoth Lakes with more still to come. Lower elevations in the PNW are showing fall colors as well.

This new foliage report (thanks Kevin!) is the perfect example of how fall colors progress unevenly. Peak color can already be photographed at Dixville Notch if you catch it at the right angle & light. Meanwhile, satellite imagery shows that most of the area is still changing.

Colors are really starting to pop in the White Mountains of New Hampshire after a week of sunshine, mild days, and cold nights. Looks like reds and oranges will be much more vibrant this year compared to 2025! @ExploreFall @FoliageReport @JimSalgePhoto
