Every FBS team ranked on this season's results only. No polls, no committee, no voters. All 138, every Monday.

Every fix college football has tried was built to look familiar: same teams on top, same order, new paint. Delta isn’t a patch. It’s a rebuild. A rebuild looks different until it’s done, and the difference is the point.

SBJ, via The Athletic: a 24-team playoff could pull teams out of bowls. Delta builds bowls into the format instead: 32 bowls take the teams ranked 17 to 80, set by one ranking, so the 16-team playoff and the bowls never compete for the same teams.
The College Football Playoff’s potential expansion from 12 to 24 teams could significantly impact bowl games 🏈 All five teams from last year’s Citrus and Pop-Tarts bowls would have qualified for a 24-team playoff, potentially leaving those bowls with lower-ranked matchups. 32 bowls. Ranked, not picked. USC v Mississippi State in the Rose. Missouri v Florida in the Cotton. Oklahoma State v Oregon in the Sugar. The 64 best teams outside the playoff, closest-ranked paired. No bowl reps, no committee.

A lot of people living in the past with the announcement of the 24 CFP. Delta has it's own rewind, from 2021 to 2025. Why just those years?? The initial tier rankings are based on 2000-2020 stats. Those tier rankings reset every 5 years based on how a team did during that time. This is year 6 under Delta.

Zero midseason firings so far, versus nine a year ago (Vannini). Delta’s Recruiting & Staff category looks at what a program has built over years. It sets scheduling tiers and revenue share, never the playoff field. That is earned on the field.
✍️ A year ago at this point, nine teams had fired their coach. This year, it's zero. After a decade of normalizing midseason firings, we may be moving back to normal coaching carousel timeline. "Roster quitting is a real thing." nytimes.com/athletic/7693208…

Per Yahoo (Dellenger), the 24-team deal is agreed but not yet signed. 24 of 138 FBS teams is about 1 in 6. Delta: 16 teams, 1 ranking, 0 auto-bids, no committee. Big enough to be fair, small enough that a loss still matters.🧵

The CFP is evaluating its 13-member committee, its criteria and the number of teams ranked (Yahoo). Delta’s answer: no committee. One ranking of all 138 teams from 2026 games, published every Monday.

Yahoo on the other 30-some bowls: “Simply put, it’s up to the network.” Delta writes it down: 32 bowls take the teams ranked 17 to 80, set by one ranking, no network decides.
6
Yahoo: power teams need 10 games against power opponents to be eligible; 11 of 68 still need one. In Delta no school picks its games. The engine builds all 12, so nobody can duck anyone and no eligibility rule is needed.
7
Conference title games go away under the 24-team plan (Yahoo). Delta already has none: every team plays the final weekend, and one ranking settles each region. Nobody waits, and nobody gets a bid for a label.
11
AP vs Delta: “The poll’s #1 is Delta’s #13” (Miami). Utah is AP 10 but Delta 30, Iowa is AP 15 but Delta 28, and Houston goes the other way (AP 14, Delta 5).
