From Parliament to the Commonwealth, from diaspora connections to humanitarian partnerships - this week, Kenya’s Mission in the UK was where conversations became connections and partnerships gained momentum. 🇰🇪🇬🇧 On 8 September, H.E. @MMakoloo , accompanied by Minister Ali Mambo, paid a courtesy call on the @CommonsSpeaker Rt. Hon. Sir Lindsay Hoyle. Their cordial discussions covered bilateral, regional and multilateral issues, with a focus on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and advancing shared Commonwealth values. Both leaders reiterated the need for enhanced cooperation between our two nations to make the future better than the past. The following morning at Marlborough House - the home of The Commonwealth, H.E. @MMakoloo joined the launch of the “One Commonwealth, One Team” Exhibition Cricket Match Series, celebrating the Commonwealth’s shared heritage through sport ahead of #CHOGM2026. 🏏. In his remarks, Amb. @MMakoloo affirmed Kenya’s commitment and offer of leadership and support. The Mission also hosted Kenyan professionals working at the Commonwealth Secretariat for an informal cup of tea at the Chancery. Beyond the conversations, it was an opportunity to recognise the expertise, contribution and potential of Kenyans serving in international institutions. Deputy Head of Mission Amb. @ikchir , meanwhile, joined @StJohnKenya at the Lord Prior’s Dinner during St John Grand Council 2026 in London. Discussions explored opportunities to strengthen the strategic partnership with the State Department for Foreign Affairs, particularly in humanitarian diplomacy, youth engagement, international cooperation and institutional capacity.
