🇮🇳 FFI is advancing fortified atta (whole-wheat flour) through India’s Public Distribution System.
In Haryana, fortified atta reached 3M+ beneficiaries from 2018–2023 and was associated with reductions in iron, folate & B12 deficiencies.

🇦🇿 In 2025, FFI & @UNICEF supported Azerbaijan in developing a national wheat flour fortification program.
Azerbaijan is now taking steps toward mandatory fortification with iron, folic acid & vitamin B12.

🇵🇭 FFI & Nutrition International supported the Philippines in strengthening wheat flour fortification standards, including adding folic acid & bioavailable iron.

🩺 Can people receiving dialysis eat fortified foods?
Yes! Fortified foods provide small, regulated amounts of nutrients. People on dialysis should consult their healthcare team before taking additional supplements, but supplement warnings do not mean fortified foods are unsafe.
🌎 FFI & WFP strengthened food fortification monitoring across Latin America, focusing on rice.
🇵🇪 In Peru, FFI supported practical monitoring guidelines and expanded Spanish-language training for governments, inspectors, millers & labs.
