A new Israeli documentary is setting the record straight. NAZA: The Real Story offers a firsthand account from senior IDF commanders and intelligence officers who were directly involved in the fight against Hamas in Gaza. Using combat footage, declassified materials, captured intelligence, and firsthand testimony, the documentary provides important context about how the war was fought and the challenges Israeli forces faced on the battlefield. Absolutely disgusting to see the media gaslight about these riots. On what planet do thousands of people rampage w unhinged violence bc of “below-inflation education budget increases”?
Students across France are protesting poor classroom conditions, staff shortages and a below-inflation education budget increase, with tens of thousands joining nationwide demonstrations reut.rs/47CtPyI

The main entry on Wikipedia—one of the most visited sites on the internet and one that reportedly feeds into the ways that artificial intelligence tools answer questions from users—essentially blames Israel for being attacked on Oct. 7, the bloodiest day for Jews since the Holocaust. Jew-hatred watchdogs and pro-Israel groups have long accused the crowdsourced encyclopedia, in which almost anyone can post to the site, of antisemitic bias. But the fact that its main entry on the Hamas-led Oct. 7 attacks states in its first sentence that the terror attacks were “a series of coordinated armed incursions from the blockaded Gaza Strip” adds insult to injury, experts told @JNS_org. 🧵

Alhamimi's biggest grievance was clearly his objection to "white supremacy."

On the Hebrew calendar date of the three year anniversary that their brethren slaughtered more than 1000 Jews in a single day, launching the war against Hamas in Gaza. Coincidental?

And, on the Hebrew calendar date of the three year anniversary when their Palestinian brethren invaded Israel on Simchat Torah and slaughtered more than 1000 Jews in a single day, launching the war against Hamas in Gaza.
It was an honor to attend Friday prayers at Beit El Maqdis Islamic Center with Palestinian New Yorkers today. Like an olive tree, their roots run deep in our city, stretching back more than a century and growing through every generation that has made Bay Ridge home.

When was the last time you saw this flag associated with something positive? Like a scientific breakthrough, a heroic adventure, a motivating story? This is the Swastika of our times. Wherever it goes, destruction, mayhem and hatred follow.

“We don’t care.” That is what a Dutch audience told Sabine Taasa in Delft. Hamas murdered her husband and her son. Anyone still wondering how neighbours could hand a girl like Anne Frank to the Nazis: this is the same hatred‼️ Nearly three quarters of the Jews in the country where she hid were murdered, the highest proportion in occupied Western Europe. The same spirit has now written Dutch law. Prison for anyone who buys from Jews living in Judea, the tiny homeland of our people. Europe 2026. A reminder of why Israel is so important to all Jews everywhere.

Tonight is the yahrzeit of the murder victims of the October 7th massacre. Though Hamas forever forced an overlap between the joy of Simchat Torah and the mourning of innocence and the freefall of hatred to follow, we're a people who resist and survice. We're Am Yisrael Chai.

We can all agree that the People of Israel and India, have a great bond, and individuals full of courage. The only questions remains … How to pronounce Captain Smit’s last name? :)
Courage knows no borders. 🇮🇳🇮🇱 The bravery of Captain Smit Machchhar and others in a moment of danger reminds us of the deep bond between our peoples - built on courage, solidarity and a shared belief in the strength of humanity. We Thank Captain Machchhar, for his courage and for helping save Israeli lives. His bravery is a powerful reminder that the India–Israel friendship is built not only between nations, but between people who stand by one another when it matters most. 🙏 Wishing Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery. 🇮🇱❤️🇮🇳

This is the kind of pro immigration stance i expected in the aftermath of this incident from white people in anglo countries like the US, where indians have contributed positively far more than in Israel, but oh well. I guess some places never change for the better and they just write their doom with their own hands.
If you’ve walked around Israel lately, you’ve probably noticed a lot more Indians here. Tens of thousands are now working alongside us, with many more expected in the coming years. And yesterday an Indian captain, Smit Machchhar, was stabbed while flying 174 people to Israel and still managed to open the cockpit so the attacker could be overpowered, helping save everyone aboard. To the Indians who have chosen to come work and live among us: you are very, very welcome here. And Captain Machchhar, Israel owes you one. 🇮🇳❤️🇮🇱

Though there are boneheads who don’t make distinction between immigrants, especially from non European countries, there is an argument that tightening immigration is valid to keep out the likes of the attacker.

possible, same word has many different pronunciations and thus different meanings in the same language If that is the case then his surname is pronounced as Muhch-chhar or mətʃʰːər, meaning vigour or passion.

Thank you! That makes sense or even slight variation in sound changes entire meaning - one of the more well known English examples would be desert vs dessert.

His Last name too means Vigour and we know he lived upto it
A SURNAME THAT MEANS VIGOUR. A PILOT WHO LIVED IT. Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian pilot who helped save 166 Israelis aboard a Flydubai flight, has a surname with deep Gujarati roots. Machchhar is associated with the Gujarati Naagar Brahmin community, a distinguished community that has also produced surnames such as Mankad, Mankodi, Hathi and Ghoda. And there is a striking coincidence: Machchhar is among the words associated with vigour, passion, जुनून and जोश in the Bhagvad Gomandal Kosh, the authoritative Gujarati encyclopaedia, Vol. 7, p. 6873. Smit has lived up to the name.

That’s a gorgeous definition. I’ve also been seeing the translation as mosquito. Different dialects? Regardless, he is a man of vigor and valor!
