Protesters in Tokyo rallied in front of the US embassy Tuesday night, demanding the expulsion of US bases from the country.
Demonstrations have continued day after day after a US Marine was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of killing 39-year-old Anna Yagi in Okinawa. The murder has reignited fury over the presence of US military bases in the country – the overwhelming majority of which are stationed in Okinawa.
