1/ Banks are now interested in stablecoins. What sparked the interest? “Stablecoin transaction volume passed $28 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, settling on networks where banks have historically had limited control or participation. When money moves at that scale outside a bank’s control, it becomes difficult to ignore.” said @vchok, CEO of @FirstDigitalHQ

Our CEO Vincent Chok sat down with @JameDiBiasio on The J.DB Report to talk through the last two years properly — the FDUSD de-peg, what it forced us to rebuild, and why First Digital is now betting on Asia and emerging markets instead of trying to out-scale the big players. No spin, just the real story behind the headlines.
Most stablecoin conversations focus on the winners. Fewer focus on what it takes to keep going when the market turns. I joined @JameDiBiasio on The J.DB Report to talk about the last two years at First Digital, what it taught us, and why we rebuilt the business to prepare for a different market. The market has changed. Two years ago, there were a handful of serious stablecoin issuers. Today, there are dozens. That forces every issuer to answer a harder question: what are we actually useful for? Our answer is infrastructure. Serving Asian and emerging market users properly, building Finance District for agentic payments, and designing for security first, because in this business trust is the only thing that compounds. Global dollar stablecoin FDUSD meets KGLD. FDUSD, issued by First Digital(@FDLabsHQ), has recorded more than $2 trillion in cumulative trading volume since launch. KGLD is working with @FirstDigitalHQ to build onchain financial infrastructure connecting #FDUSD with #KGLD, a digital asset backed by physical gold. By connecting a dollar stablecoin with a physical gold-backed digital asset through compliance-focused infrastructure, the initiative aims to create a pathway for global investors to access digital gold and the RWA market, while connecting KGLD to global liquidity. A digital dollar with established global liquidity, connected to physical gold-backed KGLD. This marks another step toward KGLD’s expansion into the global RWA market. False allegations again. Our CEO sets the record straight.
Justin Sun is back with the same claims we have answered many times, and a few new ones. He says Binance delisted FDUSD. It did not. A few low-volume altcoin pairs were trimmed, as happens on every exchange. Dozens still trade today. He points to a drop in FDUSD. It came hours after his own targeted attack, and the peg was back the same day. FDUSD has honoured every redemption request on schedule, without exception. Every dollar sits in attested reserves, and we publish the holdings each month. Sixteen months on, still nothing. His story keeps shifting, but ours has not. This belongs in court, and we know what our records show.

Your Shopware store can now take payments from AI shopping agents. The official Prism plugin is live. Install it, connect your Prism account, and your storefront starts accepting agent-initiated orders, settled instantly in stablecoins straight to your own wallet. No chargebacks, no new dashboard, no protocol code to write. It runs on Shopware's own agentic commerce extension, and that's deliberate. Platforms should own the protocol layer. We build the payment handler. Last week we got to show @juanferrub what that looks like end to end: one prompt, plan a barbecue for friends, and an agent planned the menu, filled a basket and paid for it on testnet. Credit to @shopware and the @ACLabShopware for building that layer in the open. We take care of the finance side, so you can focus on running your business. When the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin sells, the market reads it as a signal, but I'd take that with a pinch of salt. To me, Strategy's sale looks more like a tactical move to satisfy credit rating agencies than a fundamental loss of conviction in Bitcoin. There's a difference between raising cash and walking away. Bitcoin is down close to 30% this year, but the long-term outlook remains strong. Many investors in Southeast Asia are already treating this dip as an entry point rather than a reason to step away.
