Redevelopment of the eastern side of Shops at Mary Brickell Village may finally be moving forward.
Kimco Realty has won approval for a Metromover Subzone designation, which lifts limits on height and FAR and allows more flexible zoning.

🏗️Waldorf Astoria Miami is now currently the tallest residential tower south of Manhattan.
According to karinecarvalhomiami on social media, the building reached 960 FT.
The structure will eventually top out at 1037 FT & include 461 units (360 branded).

A 917-foot permit was filed for B Residences by the Partners Group/Empira Group.
It'll be the 2nd 900-footer in Brickell if constructed, following the topping out of Cipriani Residences.
The 70-story tower will have over 300 units, retail space, & parking.

Related Ross has just bought the 120+ acre BRiC, or Boca Raton Innovation Campus.
The purchase came with entitlements, which allow for 1,243 units, 140 hotel rooms, 125,000 SF of retail, 55,000 SF of entertainment, & 85,000 SF of office.

🚨 WE ARE SO CLOSE 🔥
The Waldorf Astoria Residences is mere feet away from becoming Miami's 🌴 first supertall skyscraper.
Supertall status for a skyscraper is conventionally defined as having an architectural height of at least 300m or 984.25 feet. 🏗️
The pink line in the photo shows its current progress which is superimposed on the schematic indicating that the top of Level 88 currently measures 964 feet (pink line) above sea level giving it a rough actual structure height of 964- 9.75 ft (ground level via schematic) = 954 ft, only 19 feet short of the supertall designation.
However there are some concrete columns for the next levels that probably add 10-15 ft meaning we are likely only mere feet away.
While largely symbolic, becoming a city with a supertall skyscraper represents the culmination of years of relentless growth, defining a globally recognizable skyline and cementing Miami as one of the most watched real estate markets on Earth. 🌎

El-Ad properties has proposed NBV's tallest building yet, composed of two towers rising 39 floors/465 FT and 46 floors/540 FT.
There will be 165 units, 5295 SF of restaurant space, and 427 parking spots.

🆕1501 Collins Avenue: Miami Beach
Plans have been revealed for a 325 foot, 25-story tower proposed through the Live Local Act.
There will be 124 units (50 of which are workforce housing units), 42 hotel rooms, and 15,999 SF of commercial space.
The historic art deco hotel on-site, the Bancroft, will be fully restored and preserved.
The development is being proposed by a joint venture between GFO Investments, Pebb Capital, and Maxwelle Real Estate Group.
