I think I know why... These alleged Somali scammers aren't acting alone. Someone on the inside is reaping the benefits and these people are just along for the free ride. I'm not saying they aren't committing fraud. I'm saying they are being protected from the inside.
Interesting note from a concerned Washingtonian.
Why the focus on ICE?
And why would there need to be a separate contract briefing for Somali contractors?

I came down with a bug and I'm now completely useless. Slept all day and all night. Started with a dry sore throat. Now its complete with headache, stuffy everything, ache and pains everywhere, and 0 energy. Even my ears and eyes hurt. I will go make myself mom's problem.

On another note, I bet intelligent barcodes and other proposed changes would solve this issue. Too bad mail in states were so against the USPS rule change...

This year my garden basically failed. Between the raccoons destroying the corn and the squirrels messing with the potatoes, the only things that turned out were tomatoes and grapes. Thankfully my neighbor saved some potatoes for me to pick! They are my favorite to harvest!

During my week-long hiatus from X, I attended another Mariners game with my mom. Before the game I caught this video of Emerson Hancock throwing some pitches in the bullpen. I will be attending 2 more before the season is over.

Took a break from X for 1 week. It was a nice change of pace. Except that I found myself doom scrolling on shopping apps and now am expecting like 28 packages from different orders I placed. I came back to X to save money. 😊

Its all about the voter rolls! The rule isn't complicated or difficult to implement.
Every County in Oregon using Clear Ballot has had this information on every ballot shipped for years. Anyone saying they can't do the new USPS rule is lying.
The only thing missing is clean voter rolls.
If they can't provide that then they are the ones suppressing the vote.

My son is not yet registered to vote, I just double checked. Yet he just received a jury summons. I thought jurors were selected from the registered voters list? Turns out, they use the voter list AND drivers license data. This is news to me.

I have a bone to pick with my WA government:
I have a secure access Washington account, where I access gov services (drivers licensing, business licensing, taxes, etc.) Every time I sign on, it sends a text message IN SPANISH with code to sign in. I NEVER asked for SPANISH.

This advice makes 0 sense. The only way batches or any single ballot can be rejected by the post office is when the county mails the ballots to voters and those ballots don't meet requirements. It has NOTHING to do with returning your ballot.
A USPS whistleblower says one bad barcode in a batch of 10,000 ballots could cause the ENTIRE batch to be rejected. Washington mails over 5 million ballots. The advice? Skip the Postal Service and take your ballot straight to a drop box.

Another note about the USPS rule:
It only checks outgoing ballots. It does not check returning ballots. It also doesn't solve the issue of printing ballots at home, like we can on votewa. The main purpose I see is to obtain the list of eligible voters and better track ballots.

Not to burst any bubbles, but the USPS rule cannot and will not take effect by the midterms. Best we can hope for is 2028. UOCAVA ballots go out by Sept 19, 45 days before the election. The election season is about to begin for 2926. New goal is 2028. Sorry if you don't like it.

Picking apart the USPS rule trying to figure out why WA has such an issue with it.
One overlooked reason may be the intelligent barcode likely tracks to final destination. WA allows ballots to be forwarded and final delivery point remains unknown to the public even if requested.

Not just the wasted cost, but for all the tree huggers in the PNW, how many trees had to die? We're just wasting resources with VBM.
VBM has a cost per ballot. Every ballot sent out that is not returned wastes money.
This is the data for the last ten elections, just in Coos County, for how much is wasted. Both the Cost Per Ballot and NO Count data come from SOS public records.
