Our support for President Tinubu is driven by purpose. I stand by my reasons, and I dare any among the Atiku supporters to state why you want us to vote for Atiku. What did you literally find in him that makes you consider him suitable for the seat? He was once a VP; please tell us in what way Northerners benefited from him. And before that, read a tip of an iceberg of our rationale behind rallying for Tinubu:
a) How much were you buying rice and other food commodities, and how are you buying them now? I can vividly recall, before the administration of President Tinubu, I used to see women pulling out this plant (Tafasa) for food, around BUK wall while passing by, due to the extreme cost of living that resulted in stark hardships. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard of people dying from starvation in those days. But now Alhamdulillah, things have become history under Tinubu.
If you tell people that foodstuffs are very cheap and affordable, which makes life so much easier than before, some will start asking you how much PETROL is now. My brother understands me. Petrol and gasoline prices are exceptionally high right now, mainly because of the global energy crisis triggered by intense geopolitical conflicts, severely disrupted shipping routes, and critical shortages in oil refining capacity. So, the issue of petrol is global and beyond Tinubu’s control.
b) For years, schooling or education has been out of reach for many low-income families, but for the first time since the fourth republic, education is now affordable and accessible to everyone, irrespective of your financial status, and with no more distractions from strikes; the elongated ASUU strike is now a story of the past. President Tinubu has resolved their issues within a twinkle of an eye. So, there’s no way we could skip President Tinubu on the ballot and vote for Atiku or Obi.
