Diversity and Inclusion Panel Discussion in TAUP 2021 conference for the very first time. A timely and important initiative from the organizers.
We just began the panel on #Diversity and #Inclusion in Astroparticle Physics, chaired by Inés Gil Botella (@cfp_Ciemat). This is an interesting new activity in the #TAUP conference series that aims at bringing together scientists to discuss about problems in our community.

This is really wonderful. Many of our individual experiences could be related to theories in social science showing it's a systemic effect. A better understanding of. these would certainly help to address biases.. @srubabati
Better late than never! The Humanities&SocialSciences department and the lead faculty for the course must be congratulated on this amazing achievement. @biaswatchindia @500womensci @IUPAPwomen @iitbombay #WomenInSTEM @womenintech @GradWomen @GIPWG1

Is it ever okay in any circumstance for a scientist, the only woman in her department, to be informed that for an upcoming outreach event, her role is to "plant trees", while all others have science-related tasks?
