Michelob Ultra’s strongest warrior Fordham Law

New York, NY
As a young conservative staffer, I’ve always thought of progressive staffers as honorable opponents in the war of ideas, messaging, and political strategy. I’m learning they do not think of us the same way.
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics. @ElissaSlotkin

New York City has tripled its spending on street homelessness, yet more people are sleeping on our streets and subways than ever before. Hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars are being spent while vulnerable New Yorkers are left to suffer and the organizations receiving that money face little accountability. This is a disgrace. We cannot keep throwing money at a broken system and calling it compassion. And New York City isn’t alone. Even Comptroller DiNapoli says “The problem is widespread and it is not confined to major cities.” As Attorney General, I will immediately investigate where the money is going, hold nonprofits and contractors accountable for fraud and abuse, and demand results. New Yorkers deserve answers, and those suffering on our streets deserve real help. gothamist.com/news/nyc-spend…

LSU’s two losses being to two top ten teams on the last plays of the games is really interesting. I just don’t have faith in Blake Baker w/r/t Keelon Russell but IF (and it’s a huge huge if) we can win that game then the hype train can come back on

So our subway shooting victim a short walk from here has died. Our seventh subway killing of the year. To review, 2 subway killings/year was the average for +2 decades until 2020. nypost.com/2026/10/17/us-new…

I’m struck by the details on this guy. Carpenter. Father. Gun owner. This is a guy who has a stake in the world. He heard gunshots from his car and followed the shooter into the school. The nihilists who wish to destroy our world have no chance against men like him.
JUST IN: The man who stopped the school shooting in Bend, Oregon, has been identified as 36-year-old Kalub Giamanco. Giamanco, a carpenter, was reportedly driving home for lunch when he heard gunshots. After hearing the gunshots, Giamanco, who has a concealed carry permit, followed the suspect into the school. He then shot and killed 16-year-old John J Griffin moments after the teen opened fire into a special education classroom. Giamanco, who has two children of his own who attend the school, is family friends with one of the victims, a 7-year-old who uses a wheelchair and was shot in the face. The 7-year-old survived and is in the hospital. Three children at Silver Rail Elementary School were killed. Their ages are 5, 8, and 11. According to Giamanco's brother, Giamanco doesn't feel like a hero because he feels guilty for not being able to save more children. You are a hero, Kalub.

A 16 year old kid, who cannot legally possess a firearm, entered a school to shoot people, which is also illegal, but was chased, shot, and killed by a man who legally owned a pistol. Sounds to me like the 2nd Amendment saves lives.
Police have shared that three children, ages 5, 8 and 11, and one teacher were fatally shot at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. A 7-year-old was also injured. America's gun violence crisis is killing our babies. Enough is enough.
Community note
Police confirm a community member pursued the 16-year-old shooter into the school and fatally shot him before officers arrived, ending the attack. The district banned CHL carry on grounds via SB554, which Giffords supported. cnn.com/2026/10/15/us/… bend.k12.or.us/district/organ… x.com/GIFFORDS_org/s

The thing about 24 that bothers me most is… Who is this for? It’s not because TV was begging for it. ESPN had to be convinced. It’s not for a boatload of new cash. Losing conf champ games is gonna make this a minimal gain. It’s not because the 22nd team has any shot at a natty. It doesn’t. It’s certainly not done with the health, safety, or academic success of the players in mind since they don’t even get a say in this. It’s entirely to appease the people donating the money that keeps a financially irresponsible business model afloat. It’s discounting success so schools can say “look what your donation bought.” It’s an industry hellbent on treating investors and bosses as the customer, and customers as an infinite resource that will keep coming back no matter what.

Another brutal subway stabbing. A man was stabbed multiple times on a 6 train in Manhattan, and his attacker is still on the loose. We have been sounding the alarm about subway violence for months. New Yorkers are sick and tired of dealing with disorder and violence in the subways. AG Letitia James caused this chaos. In 2020, she launched an investigation into the cops for policing the subways. For years, she has defended a broken criminal justice system that puts criminals ahead of public safety. And as recently as last week, at our debate, she suggested that having severely mentally ill people remain in the subways represents “progress.” I have announced that I would launch a Transit Crimes Strike Force to crack down on subway crime, remove repeat and violent offenders from the transit systems, and bring real accountability to our rails. New Yorkers deserve to ride the subway without fearing for their lives. youtu.be/B8MCmzHx8to?is=CG0_…
