Don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s ok to eat the little bit that broke off.

My life changed as a kid when I learned you could poke a hole in the cardboard tube and blow so that the frozen OJ would come out in one solid log.

Yes but eating the frozen concentrate was heaven.

Eventually you learned to: A) Put the can in the fridge so the juice block would thaw or B) If you forgot to do A, put some very warm water in the pitcher (just a little) so the juice block would thaw

I have some of that in my freezer right now 😂 OJ has gotten way too expensive for me to stick to my “only not from concentrate” standards

The funny part is that all you ever had to do was put the skoodge and water in the pitcher and wait a while before stirring.

Always hated Minute Maid. It was always bitter. Since becoming an adult I've always bought it in the jug. Simply is my favorite brand.

Dumb kids maybe. Use hot water for the first can, break up frozen, add another can of cold, and stir. Third can is useless, who wants orange water? How we did it in the 60s anyway.

Yeah our boomer parents fed us highly processed concentrated sugar as a healthy option. Oh, the horror.

We used to mix these with beer and vodka. We called the resulting cocktail Strip & Go-Naked. It was surprisingly tasty.

First can warm water. Melted lickety split, then 2 cans from the fridge water pitcher. Perfect drinking temp.

They still sell them in the frozen section. They are great to use when making baked goods instead of using just orange juice in the bottle. This way to get a stronger orange in what you are making. Use it this fall for you holiday baked goods & even deserts & cranberry sauce.

Mondays and Thursdays we used to stock that in the grocery store. Very economical, popular and convenient. Of course, Lawson's could get fresh orange juice to their stores in 48 hours.
