My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery. Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster. He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals. I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery. He is a true hero.

Best place for agent is a tab on the Gemini app where it pulls suggested tasks to run based on data from personal Gmail, Google Calendar, Keep and SMS/iMessage data. No one needs a separate app lol
So much this. Most high intensity tech bros and VCs don’t realise that the average Joe or Satish books maybe 1-2 flights / trips a year and buys 1 high value capital purchase. Both are occasions, they discuss with family / friends , keep tabs open for weeks and enjoy checking in to confirm their flight. The regular person , just doesn’t need an agent that can do 300 different tasks. They will go to brands and destinations they already highly value or trust to make their experience a bit more relevant/ easier.

just tried @GeminiApp Spark and @Muse on same query for a personal task and Gemini knocked it out of the park with all the personal info it has from 0p and 1p (gmail, gdrive) data. @OfficialLoganK @joshwoodward time for Spark to come off beta and launch big time as its own app!

Users will remain forever confused on the difference between AI, ChatGPT, Agents. Are they all the same thing? What about Gemini? What is Gemini Spark? Is that same as Muse Spark? and Muse, what Muse, does it Spark?
Introducing Muse, the personal agent that understands your goals and works 24/7 to get things done for you.

Same boring use cases of hey agent go buy this thing for me, or go book this hotel. Normies outside the bubble of SF and Bay Area don't care about being hyper productive. If an Agent can do their taxes or auto fill school/college forms, then we are talking. Until then all meh.
1/ today we're rolling out Muse, our new personal ai assistant. Muse is always-on, wicked fast, can use a browser, connect to your apps, and is designed to be secure. try it now: muse.ai.

In my experience, second-generation Indians live some of the most socially alienating adult lives. They often feel too removed from first-gens to build friendships with them, while the natives don’t quite see them as one of their own. The result? A painfully narrow social pool, caught between two worlds.

Very on brand silicon valley how they have rebranded quality assessment (quantitative and qualitative) into this thing called Evals - like a new talisman that makes someone an "AI" PM.
$META VP Jagjit Chawla reveals he screens AI PM candidates by asking them to write an eval for a bath towel "I'll take a very simple example, and I use this in my interviewing to decide whether someone can actually think like an AI PM." "If I was to say, write an eval for how do you evaluate bath towels, something that you come out of the shower and you're going to use to dry yourself." "This is a very random question, but I would say you could come up with, if you really think about this, you can come up with dimensions, how quickly does this thing dry? How does this feel on my face? Is it cotton or nylon? Does it have any chemicals that I should worry about?" "You can come up with like four or five dimensions and then you can rate that." "So then given a set of 100 bath towels, you could rate them on all these five dimensions and that becomes your eval set." "So when then presented the next bath towel, you could say if it was to get rated on these five dimensions, where does it stand in terms of what I think this would be a good towel, a medium quality towel, or a no quality towel."

Building things in digital gets easier and easier and easier. Building things in the real world gets harder and harder. YKIYK!
Astra (GPT-6) is here!!! I've had early access and tested it like crazy with things like games, code, writing, browser control, presentations and general knowledge work. This is the best model I've ever used. Period. (Incredible demos below in this thread ⬇️) Here's my take on Astra: > It's insanely capable. This feels like a massive improvement, not just an incremental change. This is especially true with zero-shot prompts. > It's all about knowledge work. Slide creation, analysis, writing, and browser control. And oh my...it's so good at browser control. GPT-5.6 was already fantastic at doing things in the browser, Astra is another level and significantly faster. > We're closer than ever (arrived?) at prompt-to-playable game. And I don't just mean only playable, these are actually fun games. I bet if someone with a great eye for games used Astra, they could create a viral game within 1-2 weeks. > Astra is better at writing but not perfect. It removes much of the "AI Smell" we're all familiar with but some stink still survived. > It has a tendency to use the same design colors and look/feel as GPT-5.6 (forrest green anyone?) but it is more steerable in design than previous models. > It's highly steerable in general. A little nudge goes a long way. When I first started using Astra, almost every task I gave it would go for ~30 minutes. I wanted it to keep working. Adding more specifics to a prompt helped greatly with it's ability to work for a long time. > Astra's 3D understanding is unmatched. 3D asset creation was consistent and easy and its spacial awareness while building complex 3D worlds blew me away. I'm still getting familiar with Astra but this will now be my go-to model for any difficult work I have. Check out the demos below: 👇

Oh yeah, we get that question a lot. While other products like Search and Gmail use Gemini models, the 1B here refers to people choosing the Gemini app across Web (gemini.google.com), Android, iOS, and Gemini in Chrome.
