I am a sucker for good books, and so especially O'Reilly books. Here's one that is WIP, but in return, it is free, thanks to @AntithesisHQ It's for CTOs / eng leaders who want to get AI to deliver *business value* which is... tricky. Get it here: pages.antithesis.com/oreilly…

It’s early access with 4 chapters. As more are added they will be sent to those getting it. Likely to be finished by ~Dec but it’s up to the author (details from Antithesis) This is the thing with very timely books: it’s fresh but not finished!
Is it only 30 pages or did I download only a part of the book?

Oh, author @PeterBell is online, do follow him!! Brave of him to commit to before Dec, and you heard the man 🫡
Hey @GergelyOrosz and @i_m_Pania - author here. Before December. Have most of the content - just need to get it all written down - and despite a very rich custom agentic pipeline, it takes LONGER to write it AI assisted than manually. But it's worth it as the content is way better!

If it’s a book it’s probably already outdated. I wonder how the writer is going to keep up with the developments.

Dude it’s literally being written as we speak, how can it be outdated - the parts not written?
Replying to @GergelyOrosz

How likely it will become very outdated in a year or sooner?

@GergelyOrosz thanks. What do you think about learning.oreilly.com/library… from @chadfowler? Also in draft only but I am reading it right now and it helps to organise what we should really focus on as engineers and leaders when code is cheap and can be regenerated at any time.

I brought AI into my team early. The hours come back long before finance can name a dollar.

Since I see Peter in the replies 👀 Does it cover how to scale security management of AI usage and applications? The AI tools open up a world of cool initiatives to people, inside or outside eng, but dealing with the increased risks and attack surface feels hard/impossible

Why write this as a book? Doesn't that run a big risk of becoming outdated? Maybe what we need is a kind of living book that still lets the author earn royalties.

wow. considering I now run an ai strategy consulting practice @cipherprojects this sounds like the right book for me.

A book on scaling AI in early release is the only honest format for the topic, since by the final edition half the tools in chapter 3 will have been renamed twice.
