Hey, @Cornell. You're smarties, so you must be aware that 54% of your student body is female. Accounting for roughly $835M (out of $1.5B) annually in tuition. I guess you're just okay with saying goodbye to them and their money since you can't keep them safe. 🖕 👋

So, does he actually have to shoot someone on 5th Ave, or does asking a hostile foreign nation to murder 15M+ Americans on American soil count?

Most people don't realize how prevalent sexual violence against women really is. Incidence rates in everyday life, on college campuses, and in active conflict (war) zones, are roughly equivalent. Woman are ostensibly at war against sexual violence every day of their lives.

People of America, get yourselves to the Kennedy Center right now! Right. Now. For a human chain around it. Do not leave until someone takes your place. Make it thousands deep. This is the visual we need to show the world who we really are. #kennedycenter

Worth mentioning that there are two possible financial outcomes for how this AI thing unfolds. 1) Slow it down = AI loses its grip on the market and a few thousand people make fewer billions than they hoped. 2) Do nothing = Watch the entire global financial system collapse.

I want to be sure I’m getting this right…the President of the United States faked an assassination attempt on himself with no actual shots fired so he would have a reason to demand that taxpayers foot the bill for a ballroom to protect himself after he illegally tore down part..

…of the White House, even though for the last six months he’s been saying that no taxpayer money would be used to build it because he was able to secure $400 million in bribes from donors, which included a 2.5% finders fee for him directly for brining in the donations? Right?

These are the actual men and women who built the U.S. Forest Service. They belong to my family. Please look and them and learn about the extraordinarily hard work they did before you sell it for parts. Please. This is the America we built. #usfs #usforestservice #america

We just had the most successful protests against a sitting president in history. We swept an off year election. Republicans were being blamed for the shutdown, and the ACA is damn near as popular as God. With all that momentum, why did 8 Democrats just punch us in the gut?

Democrats were overwhelmingly united on their shutdown demands. Americans understood that Trump and Republicans were to blame. Voters made it known last Tuesday that they'll elect leaders who stand up to Trump. Democrats held the cards — and folded for no reason.

It’s striking and inexplicable that Senate Dems crumbled following decisive signals from the American electorate that Trump’s policies are deeply unpopular and Americans expect the Democrats to fight Trump and Republicans over healthcare, affordability, & be a check on his chaos.

Dear @timkaine and @SenCortezMasto Your explanation on why you sold out this country and families is worthless. You have done a terrible thing here. 40 days of a govt shutdown and you won NOTHING. You have hurt people you swore to protect. It's truly disgusting.

As I've always said, I will not support a government funding bill that continues to raise our costs, jeopardizes our health care, and hurts the people of my state. I’m urging my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to stand up for Americans who are counting on us to lower their costs, and address the urgent, and–in too many cases–dire challenges people are facing in our country. I will not let up in this fight. I will vote no.

This is not a deal it’s a surrender. Tomorrow morning I am going to wake up and deliver healthcare to hospitalized children, like I have for two decades. And when my shift ends I am going to get right back to fighting like hell to get elected to the Senate. Because those kids need more than a doctor, they need leaders who give a damn.

The vote tonight to reopen the government with no deal on healthcare is a brutal blow to all those who have stood together to save affordable health care for more than 20 million Americans.   I strived to stop this outcome.  I will vote "NO" tonight with every fiber of my being. To be sure, the real villain is Trump and Congressional Republicans, who shut down the federal government because they refused to restore health care after they savaged it in their Big Ugly Betrayal of a bill --  all to fund tax breaks for billionaires. And in a fit of cruelty unparalleled in recent American history, Trump inflicted maximum pain on Americans by withholding SNAP benefits, canceling thousands of flights, and illegally firing federal workers.   Using hungry kids and our most vulnerable families as bargaining chips casts shame on the entire Republican Party. Trump's authoritarian tyranny is dismantling our democracy before our eyes.    The only way to stop him is to stand up to him.  I will redouble my efforts, in partnership with grassroots champions organizing across this great land, to do everything I can to stop him. Let’s save our Republic!

Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis For the millions who will lose coverage For people with cancer who won't get the care they need For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare We will keep fighting

America is in the midst of a Republican-made health care crisis—a crisis so severe, so urgent, and so devastating for American families that I cannot support a continuing resolution that fails to address it. I am voting NO.
