The real stinger is house jocks like you putting most of the blame on the FM when the biggest problem she faces is Westminster manufactured incompetence You bent your knee for your bawble and haven’t managed to get back to your feet yet Servile cunt
John Swinney won't be able to pop into his local for a pint any more. Brown & Blacks in Scone is run by an entrepreneur called Katie Long. Her story sums up everything that's wrong with business rates. Katie put around £140,000 of her own money into the business. She's done everything she can to make it work. Her energy costs have risen from £25,000 a year to over £100,000. But the real stinger is that her business rates have gone up from under £20,000 to over £52,000. How is anyone supposed to make a living with that? Now think about the knock-on effect: potential job losses at a time of high unemployment, which means less tax coming in and a greater burden on the state. The First Minister has appointed Jonathan Murphy to look at rates. So here's my offer to Jonathan: let's spend a day together visiting the businesses whose livelihoods are threatened by the current system.

Taxpayers are being fleeced right, left and centre by the SNP with no clear checks and no accountability. It’s an insult to taxpayers and the Auditor General must investigate. thetimes.com/article/4e926ca…

A wee nugget here regarding Dounreay which may have escaped your notice, Mr Bowie: "The full decontamination of the site is expected to take *more than 300 years*." Still "proud"? x.com/AndrewBowie_MP/status/… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cz91…
From Chapel Cross to Dounreay, Scotland has a proud history of nuclear power. Power that Scots support. I do not want any part of Great Britain to miss out on the global nuclear revolution that is underway. That is why we will legislate to ensure that Scotland can host new nuclear power generation.

Where will we get our London propaganda now? Scotland already receives a much lower % of @BBC spend than our population or licence fee contribution So any remaining Scots still paying the #LicenceFee should probably reconsider how much do we really want to subsidise England

England-as-UK is broke. So much for the glib ‘Better Together’ lies on the UK’s economic strength and security. Waiting as a servant at WM’s table is no longer an option, will @theSNP govt stand up and urgently deliver Scotland’s right to self determination and democracy?

🏠Had a great walkabout this morning and the opportunity to raise some local issues with local council housing officer, Richard. I also checked in on some of the newest council housing, almost finished, in the constituency. Everyone deserves a warm, safe place to call home.

How can the 'real stinger' be the £32,000 rate rise and not the £75,000 rise in energy costs?

So energy costs are by far the biggest “stinger” not rates - Westminster NI increase - Westminster Alcohol duty & Vat - Westminster Brexit- Westminster Tom is talking very very selectively to protect the union Now you know why he’s a “Sir”
