Christianity did end slavery in America which has existed since the dawn of man.
The Law called for the death penalty for those who stole another man (slaves).
All men are sinful and attempt to justify their behavior. The tactic used was to dehumanize the individual you wish to kill/enslave.
Germany called Jews “sub-human” to justify killing them. Abortion claims a “fetus” is not owed human rights.
In that day, after two countries fought a war, the loser was either enslaved or killed.
There are more slaves on earth today than ever. Between 27-42 million. However, they are in Muslim and Communist countries so libs look the other way. It only matters if they can figure some way to hate America.

This is a GREAT answer. He did not back down. He didn’t water down the Gospel. He publicly but respectfully expressed his desire his wife come to repentance. Declared his headship of the family by having their children raised Christian, but then acknowledged her choice is hers. He honored both Christ and his wife. He wasn’t converted to Christianity until they had been married for five years, remember.
