i created AutoText to add high quality AI features to email composition because the existing product landscape is abysmal and handicapped.
to start, i built a real-time typing suggestion system that can complete entire sentences or paragraphs, fix mistakes, handle rich formatting, and more
i built AutoText as a Chrome extension because I genuinely like the Gmail web app and merely want to extend it, as Cursor did for VS Code
i'm currently working on the next feature: an inline edit box where you can highlight a specific set of paragraphs and prompt an LLM to change, fix, or improve it.
it's still early, but i hope you like it!
