I'm so glad I learned about rocks, hypotenuses, and Lord of the Flies in school... ...and not basic financial education. That needs to change.

I鈥檓 all for teaching financial literacy. Interest, taxes, credit, insurance and investing are things nearly every adult will actually use. I鈥檇 keep the hypotenuse too though. Math didn鈥檛 cause the problem.

Totally agree. Unfortunately most school systems aren鈥檛 interested in graduating out financially literate youths because then they can鈥檛 be exploited so easily
