Save Prop 13 will more than likely: -Not pass in Nov -Survive Constitutional challenge if it does pass. CA Supreme Court will find it un-Constitutional We could have had a workable legislative deal on transfer taxes We'll all end up with nothing

As a person who worked many hours to collect signatures for the petitions I am thankful that you did not cave. What I heard over and over especially from young conservatives is that they want Property taxes eliminated for homestead property. Prop 13 does not help them at all when property taxes to buy a home in our state are $12,000 the first year. Of course, I tried to emphasize the part about it would make it harder for politicians to raise all taxes by requiring the 2/3 vote. I'm just not sure there will be enough conservative Registered Voters left in our state to vote for this. People want to buy a home. Not a condo. Not a mobile home. And they are outraged at politicians take $100 Billion dollars of their money EACH YEAR in property taxes. We need to eliminate property taxes for homestead properties. There is enough support to pull this together for November.

I’m ok with the 2/3 vote but not the transfer tax cap. Prop 19 was passed by the people of California. By allowing this provision we are contributing to the housing issue or lack of housing because we will become a rental state.
