My 1st semester of college I took a Creative Writing class. My 1st assignment I wrote a paper about a penguin journeying in the arctic.
My professor looked at it and said, and I kid you not, "This is good. But what if the penguin was gay and you gave him a knife?"
20 years later I still think about this when it comes to making app demos.

Trying to incorporate a daily walk with no podcast or phone on me. A little bit of daily prayer and just letting my mind wander.

me after being sick since sunday, sleeping 4ish hours a night for 5 days, up past midnight last night helping a customer out, having an early morning 1:1 with my direct where all of a sudden my right eye starts watering nonstop, and when i speak it sounds like I've had a pack-a-day habit for 40 years

16 years ago my Dad was on the Colbert Report.
A stock photo I’d taken of him — a Tejano, 3rd-generation son of migrant workers — was used in a sarcastic bit about gatekeeping what it means to be a “real American.” As Colbert says “Mexicans” my Dad’s photo popped up.
We’ve always laughed wondering what the producers searched on Getty Images to stumble upon my Dad.
Unfortunately the joke is still relevant today.
