Sources say the project is still in the early stages, but Disney has shown strong interest in Culkin’s idea. Culkin has previously described a concept where Kevin is now a father, but the tables are turned when his own son locks him out of the house and starts setting traps for him. Culkin framed the house as a metaphor for their damaged relationship, giving the familiar slapstick setup a more emotional twist. The original Home Alone became one of the defining family comedies of the 1990s, while Culkin’s Kevin turned into a permanent piece of Christmas pop culture. Now the kid who once defended the house may have to find his way back into it 🙏
