Joseph: Crypto gives us true ownership, but that ownership comes with a serious responsibility. Losing a key, passing away, or becoming unable to access a wallet can mean assets are permanently lost. Instead of asking how we recover a key after something happens, Heres asks: What can we prepare before it happens? That’s the idea behind Heres helping users protect not only their assets, but the intentions behind them. 02 — Why MagicBlock? Rowen: What made MagicBlock the right partner for Heres? Joseph: Privacy is at the heart of Heres. We’re dealing with personal intentions, assets, and information that shouldn't simply be exposed on-chain. MagicBlock gave us the environment we needed to approach that problem while staying aligned with the principles of crypto. But beyond the technology, the developer experience and communication really stood out. The team has been accessible, responsive, and genuinely supportive of builders. 03 — The Bigger Picture Rowen: What needs to happen for digital asset inheritance to become standard? Joseph: Two things: clearer regulation and a much simpler user experience. People already manage inheritance naturally through traditional financial systems. Web3 needs to reach that same level of simplicity. The technology can be powerful behind the scenes, but everyday users shouldn't need to understand the complexity underneath it. When regulation, technology, and usability move together, digital asset inheritance can become a normal part of managing wealth on-chain. 04 — What’s Next? Rowen: What part of the Heres vision are you most excited about, and what would you like to see from MagicBlock? Joseph: What excites us most is seeing assets and the intentions behind those assets continue from one generation to the next. Crypto isn't always just financial value. Sometimes it represents years of work, something meaningful, or something someone wants to leave behind. We want @Heresprotocol to help preserve both. As for @magicblock , we simply hope they keep doing what they're doing creating opportunities for builders to experiment, build, and turn ideas into real products. 05 — A Message to Builders Rowen: What should founders considering MagicBlock know?
