TIPF just shipped a major infrastructure upgrade. Here's what it actually means for miners.
@TIPF_AI has moved its VRF system onto Magicblock's Ephemeral Rollups.
The announcement is technical but the implications are straightforward, here's what changes for you as a miner.
Faster results, no dead time.
VRF no longer runs as a direct on-chain call. By moving onto ephemeral rollups, round settlement is near-instant. No more waiting between cycles, the dead time between rounds is essentially gone.
Zero per-round oracle fees.
This one matters more than it sounds. Every round previously carried a recurring VRF oracle cost that came out of protocol overhead. That cost is now eliminated entirely, meaning more of what flows through the protocol stays in the ecosystem rather than bleeding out to infrastructure fees. Better for miner rewards long term.
The fairness guarantee stays intact, and gets stronger.
Every round outcome still comes with a cryptographic proof published on-chain. Tamper-proof, independently verifiable, no third party can influence results. The level playing field that made TIPF worth writing about doesn't change, the infrastructure delivering it just got faster and cheaper.
Built for scale.
The upgraded system handles significantly more concurrent miners without congestion. No stuck rounds, no failed transactions during peak activity. As the guild competition and weekly prize pools bring more players in, the infrastructure is now ahead of that growth rather than reacting to it.
