I love this so much. @sophaller, I'm old enough to be your mom, but you are one of my heroes. Thank you!

France is burning, "No Kings" but 4 more years of Pritzker, Tommy is a racist bigot... it's enough X for today. I'm exhausted.

Can everyone please stop using "they" to refer to people when their sex is known? "My son is struggling with calculus. They're looking for a tutor." My 18yo and his friends do this, and I've started hearing older generations do it more too. It's confusing and imprecise.

@DisaffectedPod I thought you might appreciate the combination of gaslighting and lack of grammar knowledge going on in these comments. (Side note: I wonder why they algorithm picked this post to throw to the flying monkeys when I usually get 15 views and 3 likes 🤔)

Do people really not understand that Kalshi and Polymarket are being markets, NOT POLLS? So many comments talking about these "poll results." It's not a poll! Anyone who thinks these aren't being manipulated is naive. 64% of people betting that he will win isn't a "64% chance"!
BREAKING: Democrat James Talarico has a 64% chance to win the Texas Senate race, a state Trump won by 14% in 2024

I haven't flown in 7 years and have no intention of flying again unless the whole industry rewinds to how it used to be. We will be driving from Illinois to the PNW for my daughter's college graduation. It's nuts that a 4000 mile road trip is more appealing than flying!
We need to have a serious conversation about overweight people flying on commercial airlines. I’m flying on @AmericanAir and after paying extra money to upgrade my seat, I got stuck next to a man who is 300+ pounds and stripped mid flight. None of the flight attendants wanted to confront him. He smells like 💩 and weed. He’s literally sitting in my seat and keeps touching me. For context, he’s literally 300+ pounds and I’m 120. Why does American Airlines think it’s acceptable to treat people this way?! I tried reaching out discreetly during the flight, but they have no avenues to do that.

Doing the important work, while the homeless take over multiple cities in his state and the middle class drowns. This is the most childish thing I've seen in a while.
I just signed an executive order permanently declaring Artificial Intelligence “Artificial Intelligence” in California. You’re welcome, America.

Two disturbing things at family & friends weekend at a relatively conservative midwestern university: 1) A "parade of nations" that included "Palestine" but not Israel. 2) An LGBTQ+ org handing out flags, so there were little kids running around with bisexual and pansexual flags.

I especially like the point toward the end about states that allow this. That's a real problem for me, that men in dresses are allowed to use the same bathroom and locker room as my autistic young adult daughter. And I'm in a state where the law is on their side. It's not ok!
Response to TikTok follower who defends trans identified cry-bully “Autumn.” And yes, I absolutely insist on calling them men.

My Facebook and X serve very different purposes. I use my real name on Facebook and I'm an elected official in a small town, so I need to be very careful. Here, I can be myself, except I'm anonymous so I don't feel like I'm making real friends with people who don't know my name.
A lot of people are stuck on FB because we know just about everyone that we are friends with on FB. On X I didn't know one person except my daughter when I got here. But I'm so glad to be here. I feel like I have made many friends here, most of whom I have not and will never meet in person. Just having like minded friends makes a huge difference, but when you first come over to X, it's a very difficult transition for someone who loves people.

That feeling of seeing "Get 6 chances to guess a 5-letter word" when you realize you forgot to play Wordle yesterday... after a 218 day streak. 😫

That was a huge helping of word salad to say it was easy to demonize the "white boomer cisgender man" and much harder to demonize a 30-something black man who is supposed to agree with your world view, damn it!
What the they/them creature struggle for four minutes with the fact that the single holdout juror is a black man and not an “old boomer ‘cisgender’ white man.” 😂 It takes so little to make leftist heads explode and to launch them into gobbledygook word salad.

This is powerful. I remain more moved and saddened by Charlie's death than that of any other person I never met. An immense loss.

What a sick take. We remember what it was like seeing our fellow Americans die in real time. We remember not knowing what might happen next. We remember the way the country pulled together in the days and weeks afterwards. None of this is "worshipful."
People born pre-9/11 have such a weird, worshipful attitude about it.

FYI to any of my actual followers, I've also blocked most of the morons in the replies here. Their language games and circular logic is tying my brain in knots.

OMG, the comments on this. 🤦🏻‍♀️ If a person has symptoms of a contagious illness, they should definitely stay home. If they're symptomatic, does it matter if it's a cold, flu, or COVID? Stay home! Proactively "testing for COVID" in the absence of symptoms is just silly.
A kid on my son's football team missed practice last night because he "tested positive for COVID". People are still testing for COVID? WHY?

Rolling my eyes at all the armchair quarterbacks who would definitely have been able to get the knives away from the crazy lady in Times Square without anyone getting hurt. It's amazing to me that anyone is willing to take on a career in law enforcement these days.
