It drives me nuts that the league is so sensitive about this stuff.
If a QB throws a pick, or a back fumbles, or a corner gets beat, they have to go to a podium after a game and answer for it. With a ref, one reporter gets access after a bad call, and no one can criticize.
Sean McVay said this week the Rams were told by the NFL that Sunday's pass interference call was wrong. The NFL's game operations manual says that such conversations are to remain confidential. It's not known if McVay received clearance for his public comments.
