That’s why watching Ireland captain Dara O’Shea shake hands with the officials, then keep his hands behind his back for Israel’s Manor Solomon, left him sickened. Nobody was asking O'Shea to endorse a government. Just to extend the simplest sporting courtesy.

And then there’s 🇦🇫 Afghanistan.
Last month, Ireland’s men hosted Afghanistan for a series of One Day International cricket matches.
Under the Taliban, Afghan women have effectively been erased from official international cricket (as well as all public life), to the point that the International Cricket Council is building a separate pathway for refugee women cricketers.
Ireland still found time for all five games.

Apparently even a skateboard can’t escape @guardian’s Gaza narrative.
Its latest feature follows children skating, but repeatedly cuts back to rubble, turning the board into another vehicle for a familiar visual story. It even states that skateboards are “banned,” despite no publicly available Israeli regulation backing up that categorical claim.
The skateboard may be new. The framing isn’t.

How did global media decide Israel was the biggest killer of journalists? One man had a lot to do with it.
Because before a statistic can become a headline, someone has to supply the list of names.
The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) is one of the most frequently cited sources for the Committee to Protect Journalists’ (CPJ) database of slain media workers.
PJS’s president, Nasser Abu Bakr has publicly praised Palestinian gunmen who murdered Israelis as “heroes” and “lions.” And when someone in Gaza is killed, he has the power to name them a journalist.
That matters when information supplied by his organization makes its way into databases that are then cited by some of the world’s biggest newsrooms.
Our investigation found documented terror-group ties for more than half of the journalists on CPJ’s list.

The lies continue: Terrorists are still being passed off as journalists.
@pressfreedom has audited its database of slain Gazan media workers, but not only does the revised tally still contain terrorists, they even reinstated one to the list. 102 out of 191 CPJ-listed journalists has terrorism-ties.
We're going to post a jihadi "journalist" every day until the record is corrected by the CPJ and news organizations that cited this list as fact.

Assaad Shamlakh was previously removed from the CPJ Gazan journalist list for not meeting the definition of being a journalist.
With its new audit, Shamlakh was returned to the list, with CPJ describing him as a freelance reporter and founder of Riyaheen Al-Quds.
What the review inexplicably failed to find was that Shamlakh was a terrorist in the PIJ Gaza Brigade's Al-Sabra and Tel Al-Hawa Battalion.

Before Netanyahu spoke, the Palestinian Mission urged delegations to fill the hall and then leave together. And the widely cited count of 77 empty delegations included both countries that walked out and those absent altogether.

And Netanyahu's own context is hardly hidden.
Immediately beforehand, he spoke of the Jewish people's survival against those who tried to destroy them, before saying:
“As the Bible says, Netzach Yisrael lo yeshaker, the eternity of Israel will not falter.”
Turning that into a secret instruction to commit genocide requires ignoring what he actually said.
