A new model of aid is being piloted in Colombia. In partnership with @mercycorps / @MCSocialVenture & @GSR_io / @foundation_gsr, @HumLinked have built a solution that leverages Aleo’s privacy technology to deliver private stablecoin donations to displaced communities, protecting personal data and preserving dignity throughout the process. Unlike other crypto donation platforms that broadcast transactions on public ledgers, this solution enables organizations to verify eligibility and distribute aid without exposing sensitive information about recipients. Two pilots are underway, first with the dedicated team at @DRC_ngo, and soon with @GOAL_Global, to send private donations to people in need. With USDCx on Aleo, a stablecoin backed by @USDC in @Circle xReserve, the team can securely validate eligibility while protecting the identity and safety of those receiving aid. To ensure the program is as inclusive as possible, recipients can register for donations via WhatsApp and redeem their funds simply by using QR codes.
