The FBI stopped an 18-year-old ISIS member from committing a mass shooting in Minneapolis.
1) He was planning to do it in Minneapolis at a Hmong Arts Celebration Festival in the Mall of America on October 24th.
2) He was being tracked by the FBI for two years where he was claiming allegiance to ISIS online
3) He purchased a nonworking AK-47 with 200 rounds from an undercover FBI Agent for $600 at a parking lot where he was then arrested.
🚨 ANOTHER ISIS-INSPIRED MASS CASUALTY PLOT STOPPED.
Today the FBI arrested an individual who allegedly obtained a weapon to carry out an attack in support of ISIS.
This FBI is finding terrorists BEFORE they can attack Americans — and we will keep using every resource we have to dismantle their networks across this country.

Nowhere does Jesus say they “wrote down laws that were not God's laws.” Just because he gave them a new law doesn’t mean the previous one was immoral. That doesn’t follow.
P1) The Pharisees were teaching blasphemy law
P2) Jesus says to follow all of the Pharisees teachings in Matthew 23:1-3
P3) 2 Timothy 3:16 says “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,”
C) Therefore, the blasphemy law was from God, not just something Jews made up because they had a hard heart 💔 🥺

Yes the command itself is immoral, and Jesus gives clear instructions as to what to do to those who blaspheme God in the New Testament. Jesus explicitly says that the Jewish prophets were hard of heart and wrote down laws that were not God's laws. This is in his teaching on divorce. He then gives his new laws. Christian countries that have punished people with death for these trivialities have been condemned by the church authorities at this point. In Christian theology, we listen to church authorities, not some book.

Jesus (d. ~30 CE): Paul's letters (~50 CE) cite eyewitnesses including his brother James. Gospels ~35-70 years later. Josephus (~93 CE), Tacitus (~116 CE).
Muhammad (d. 632 CE): Non-Muslim sources name him within 2-8 years (Doctrina Jacobi ~634, Thomas the Presbyter ~640, Syriac fragments). Sebeos ~660s adds detail.
Muhammad has closer external mentions; Jesus denser early internal ones. Existence of both is solid.
