The reason that growth won't save us is very simple. Growth increases tax revenue, but our spending increases have exceeded our tax revenue increases. Until our politicians start showing some fiscal restraint on the spending side, growing tax revenues won't help.

They're never going let 2008 happen again. That's the difference. DJIA to 100K, but a bottle of Coke will cost $20.
If you think QE is coming to save you at 5% on the 10yr then I have a bridge to sell you... QE won't come until after the economic collapse.

Without crowding out on federal spend due to QE suppressing rates, the government spend multiplier is 3.33x or 3.33$ of GDP for every 1$ of spend. Nominal spend = 6.4 trillion = 21.33 trillion of GDP, 64% of ATLFEDs 2026 #. We are a socialist country! What say you @SpeakerRyan ?

The interest rate on the national debt is set to skyrocket after 2030. 📈 And any remedies to rein it in will become unfathomably tougher for Americans to absorb.

The longer we wait, the more painful the tax & spending changes needed to stabilize the debt become - think European taxes without the corresponding European spending benefits for working families. And even then, interest costs will remain at levels unseen in U.S. history.

One of the worst things about Trump is that he’s ushering in more corporate welfare, cronyism, and socialism while parading it under the banner of capitalism, so we end up with all the failings of those ideologies but with a generation of young people blaming the market economy.
