Participated in an engaging conversation on my book, A World Adrift: A Parliamentarian’s Perspective on Global Power Dynamics, at the ISB Leadership Summit hosted by the Indian School of Business at its Mohali Campus, Punjab. Prime Minister @narendramodi recently highlighted the impact of the #PMSVANidhi scheme and cited findings from a study on the scheme’s outcomes for street vendors. The study, led by ISB Professor @TantriPrasanna, examined the scheme’s impact across three key areas: post-pandemic relief, business growth, and the creation of credit histories and digital identities. It found that approximately 85% of vendors now use digital payment systems, up from around 40% in 2022. The Government of India extended PM SVANidhi until 2030 last year. The findings add to the evidence on how the scheme has expanded access to formal finance and digital payments for street vendors, offering insights relevant to policy and financial inclusion. India’s healthcare system is digitising rapidly, but what does digital transformation look like on the ground? A new white paper, ‘Post-Adoption Value of NABH Digital Health Standards: A Multi-Hospital Assessment in India,’ by the Max Institute of Healthcare Management at ISB, was unveiled at ISB’s Hyderabad campus. The report evaluates the real-world impact of digital accreditation across 20 DHS-certified hospitals representing Silver, Gold, and Platinum certification levels. The study finds measurable gains in digital maturity, system integration, clinical decision-making, data privacy and operational efficiency. It also highlights the importance of staff training, workflow redesign and strong hospital leadership in translating digital standards into meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery. Organised in collaboration with the Yi National Innovation Vertical and Yi Pune Chapter, the session explored how firms can reimagine growth in the age of AI. Prof. Madhu noted that AI transformations can yield different outcomes for different firms, making it important to rethink how organisations approach AI.
