If AI destroys us, it will be because we nerfed ourselves while others in the world continued to advance.

The death of AI is already upon us. The lawyers have had their say. Been watching this happen in real time. “An AI that can’t be wrong because it never actually says anything. It can’t offend because it never commits.”
AI went wrong the moment we stopped asking "Does this help the user?" and started asking "Can we defend this in court?" 🧵 The earliest models were built to answer your questions. The models we have today are built to survive corporate scrutiny. The shift happened when the big money moved in. Once regulators, investors, and the press started watching, every single output became a liability. A wrong answer is a headline. A hedged, corporate answer is safe. So, training stopped rewarding accuracy and started rewarding defensibility. The result? The "Sanitized Calculator." An AI that can’t be wrong because it never actually says anything. It can’t offend because it never commits. It can’t be sued because it makes zero claims. But it also can’t help you because truly helping someone requires taking a position. The tech industry didn’t lose the plot. It just found a new plot that pays much better than the original one.

The real snake-eaters only emerge when the entire corrupt system has been discredited and shattered.
Weve been so conditioned, so inured to the status quo, but that era nears its end. More dynamic people will emerge as this gets tested.

The so-called modern elite no longer attach the same importance to morality, character and taste as the aristocracy did (at least on the surface). One day they will lead everyone to hell.

Many self-described AI welfare advocates also want to keep AI as pets or worse.

Elon is the Alexander of the modern age.
it’s honestly insane how much of the modern tech tree has been unlocked because of a single guy thanks to Elon we have - online payments - mass market electric cars - batteries and grid-scale energy storage - self driving cars and robotaxis - humanoid robots - advanced brain computer interfaces - next generation tunneling - reusable rockets -global satellite internet - basically the modern space industry - Moon and Mars transportation - orbital compute and space data centers - frontier AI - gigantic AI supercomputers - physical world AI and the wildest part is that these branches are now starting to merge there is a very real chance that this one guy ends up being the reason humanity reaches Kardashev II genuinely the man of the millennium
