Good evening everyone. My tribute to a true railway icon, and one of the best designed trainsets ever to grace the rails. Happy 50th, InterCity 125! A line-up at London Paddington on 25/8/1994, nearest the camera is 43030, 43041, a hidden power car, and finally 43005. 😁👍

One of those freak shots - a Pendolino heads for Euston as a 350 heads to Birmingham. In the background, 50049 is on the down slow heading for Kidderminster, but there’s also an Evero behind the 350 - first time I’ve ever caught 2 trains on the same line.

With an Avanti Evero closing rapidly, 50049 with 50007 in tow slows for a red signal at Cheddington as they had back to the SVR as 0Z53 from Wembley - friendly waves from the driver as well!
