The 8-week Maritime Security Course (MSC 10), exclusively conducted for officers of Friendly Foreign Countries concluded on 21 Aug 2026 with Valedictory Function at @InNwc. RAdm Ajay D Theophilus,VSM, Flag Officer Goa Area presided over the function and gave away course certificates awarded by the Goa University to the course participants. 15 Officers from 10 nations who formed part of the course were provided comprehensive lessons on maritime security including maritime strategies. @InNwc in collaboration with Naval History Division organised an audio-video journey on Victory Through Vision - Indo Pak War 1971 by @SubrotoC Mr Subroto Chattopadhyay and Maj Gen Anil P Dere(Retd) of #PeninsulaStudios. The presentation intricately captured the events immediately preceding the war and the war itself, from a neutral perspective, with deep insights into actions behind the scenes and on the battlefront. In its quest to spread the joy of reading amongst staff and families at station Mandovi, NWC organised a literary gathering at the Chola Bhawan on 17 Jul in conjunction with Pune Authors Association. The event gave an opportunity for families, especially young children, to meet 12 budding authors who gave everyone an insight into the stories behind their story telling. The authors ranged from a 15 year old young adult to a retired naval veteran of repute. The genre of books varied from biographies to fiction and from wellness to history. Staff and families from station Mandovi participated in the event wholeheartedly while also encouraging the authors in their pursuit of literary glory. Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, #CNS inaugurated ‘Vijendra 2’, a new 96-unit married accommodation for junior sailors at Mahavir Annexe in Kochi on 20 April 26. Named after Vijendra Pal Singh Tomar, Seaman, a Kirti Chakra (posthumous) recipient, this facility will enhance the quality of life and welfare infrastructure for naval personnel and families in Kochi station.
