Mir ist kürzlich im Gespräch mit einem Kollegen klar geworden, dass natürlich keineswegs jeder weiß, wie Navigation ohne GPS funktioniert. Denn ja, ukrainische Drohnen können ihre Ziele auch ohne GPS und Starlink in tausenden Kilometern feinden.

This viral video claiming a $140m corruption case in the Ukrainian military is false and likely a new creation of the long-running Russian disinformation operation known as Storm-1516.
Although the fake video has the logo of a genuine Ukrainian news website called the New Voice of Ukraine, it is in fact a fabricated report that was never produced by the Ukrainian outlet.
To make this fake story even more believable, the operation has also created a fake web page made to look like the real website of the New Voice Ukraine, featuring the fabricated report (first screenshot).
On its genuine website, the New Voice of Ukraine has clarified that it never produced this $140m corruption report, and that the web page carrying its logo is entirely fake (second screenshot).

Man sollte sich von einzelnen Treffern nicht täuschen lassen. Die Russen erzielen sensationelle Erfolge in der Abwehr der ukrainischen Angriffe. Die ukrainische Erfolgsquote ist vermutlich bei 1% und teilweise darunter. Das ist schlichtweg spektakulär und würde bei einem vergleichbaren Angriff auf jedes beliebige Nato-Land nicht im Ansatz erzielt werden.
Hätte die Ukraine Deutschland mit 1.300 Drohnen und Marschflugkörpern angegriffen, wären vermutlich 1.100 eingeschlagen.
Vergessen wir mal nicht, welche Erfolge die Ukraine mit den alten Sowjet-Systemen in den ersten anderthalb Jahren des Krieges hatte. Sie konnten die komplette russische Luftwaffe wieder aus ihrem Luftraum jagen. Die Russen haben mehr Systeme und deutlich Modernere.

🚨 Huge update: YouTube just announced video AB testing, thumbnail generation & more.
I’m here in the YouTube offices in New York… and they’ve just made their biggest update in years.
Here’s the 3 changes I am most excited about + my take as a strategist running some of the biggest channels on youtube:
1. Video AB testing
YouTube is going to allow you to upload three different versions of a video now (starting with shorts and then rolling out to more) and test them over a period to see which gets the best watch time.
My take: I am so excited by this and it feels like something we’ve all wanted for years. How often are you stuck between two different intros, or two different ways of ending a video?
Now having the ability to get real data back is insane. I am going to heavily use this with intros.
2. Dynamic thumbnail testing for different audiences
YouTube will now actually dynamically test different thumbnails with different audience segments. Allowing you to have different packaging for your returning viewers vs casual/new.
My take: This is very interesting. Current AB testing for thumbnails essentially helps you find the best thumbnail for the biggest majority of your viewers… but that isn’t the best thumbnail for every segment.
A core viewer might click on something very different to a brand new viewer. I think this will allow creators to print more views and test new styles that previously might have never won in the test.
3. Thumbnail generation in YouTube studio
Directly in your studio you will have an ‘ask studio packaging assistant’ that can analyze your video and past performance and generate thumbnails (and titles) for your video.
My take: This one’s been coming. The interesting thing for me is that when presenting this, youtube said something very interesting: they will match your style.
This is the hardest step when using most Ai thumbnail generators, so if they can pull this off… could change the game.
Really excited to see how these new features work.
Youtube shared that they will be tested and rolled out in the coming months.

Regierungslogik:
2025 wurde ein Importverbot für halbautomatische Gewehre in Panama erlassen. Aus rechtlichen Gründen geht das immer nur ein Jahr lang, ansonsten wäre ein Gesetz dafür nötig. So aber geht es mit Dekret. (So mein Verständnis.)
Das Importverbot ist am 20. September abgelaufen, also gestern.
Am 18. September wurde ein neues Importverbot erlassen, das ab dem 22. gilt. Also ab morgen.
Heute gilt es also nicht.
Was bedeutet: Gerade sind alle Waffenhändler in der Waffenbehörde und reichen ihre Importanträge ein, die wegen des heute nicht bestehenden Verbots genehmigt werden müssen und werden.
Den Sinn verstehe ich dabei nicht. Aber dieses Mal wird wohl hoffentlich endlich jemand die Century Arms CA-3 für mich auf der Liste haben, sodass ich Weihnachten 2027 endlich ein G3A3 habe. 🥳
